Thirteen One-minute Compositions by Stas
We are happy to announce that Stas’ new book of 13 one-minute compositions is finally completed.
All titles were submitted to Stas by orchestra members, and based on those titles, each piece was written as an impression of each individual musician. Each composition was written for a duration of one minute.
If you wish to purchase all of the thirteen pieces, the book (PDF file) is available for purchase ($25).
Recording Project 2026
A small town, Curtis, in Michigan will host and welcome our Houston Accordion Orchestra this coming January for a recording project.
All rehearsals, performances, and recordings will be held at the Erickson Center for the Arts and will be open to the local public for opportunities to meet the orchestra members and experience the process of preparation for recording and performances. Every single night, there will be performances by our musicians. Seven days of rehearsing, performing, and video recording 15 original compositions written by our young participants. Local school students will also be brought in to meet the orchestra, which will offer the students a chance to learn about the accordion and meet orchestra members.
All local musicians and the public are welcome to join our daily evening jam sessions. Thank you to Curtis Town for hosting the orchestra and offering your hospitality. We will see you very soon!
Our aim is to revolutionize the world of accordion by inspiring young people to embrace the fine arts, empowering them to create music, honing their performances skills as soloists and with orchestras, and giving them opportunities to compose and debut new music.
