Youth Program / Original Compositions
Stas Venglevski has been encouraging youth accordionists to perform solo, in Ensemble, in Orchestra. Youth musicians have been awarded scholarships to participate Houston Accordion Orchestra Retreat. Youth are also mentored by Stas Venglevski all year around to compose original music.
Daniel Hartnett from Chicago, IL was invited as a first youth accordionist in Houston Accordion Orchestra Retreat in 2021. He performed as a solo and as duet with Stas Venglevski in several concerts during the retreat including main public concert at Kemah Boardwalk Main Stage.
Six Youth members were awarded to receive the scholarships.
Houston Accordion Orchestra Retreat 2022 Original Composition Book was published and 8 pieces were performed by composers during the retreat.

13 Youth members were awarded to receive Scholarships.
Three original compositions by youth were orchestrated by Stas Venglevski and premiered in 2 concerts, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and Space Center Houston.
